HOW TO PLAY

Start — Stop · Multiplayer Word Game

🏠 Create or Join a Room
Enter your name, then create a room or join one using a 4-letter code or invite link. The host needs at least 2 players before starting.

📋 Choose Categories
Once the host starts, everyone sees the Category Selection screen. The host picks which categories to play — all players watch live and discuss. Custom categories can be added too. When ready, the host clicks Begin Round!

🎲 Draw a Letter
A spinner (rotating each round) draws a random letter. Letters already used in previous rounds are blocked — they must draw again. Once a fresh letter lands, click BEGIN WRITING!

✏️ Write Your Answers
Fill in one answer per category — every answer must start with the drawn letter. Minimum 2 characters per answer. You can only see your own answers during this phase. Switching tabs pauses your inputs!

🛑 Call STOP or Pass
Finished all your categories? Hit STOP! — a 10-second countdown appears on everyone's screen so they can wrap up. If you're stuck, hit 🏳️ Pass. If everyone passes, the round stops. If some pass, the host's Stop button unlocks so they can end it if everyone agrees.

💬 Group Review & Voting
All answers are revealed. Vote 👍 or 👎 on each other's answers — you can't vote on your own. Majority wins; ties go in the answerer's favour. Use the chat to debate!
🏆 SCORING
⭐ Only valid answer in a category 20 pts
✅ Unique valid answer 10 pts
🔁 Same answer as another player 5 pts each
❌ Voted invalid or empty 0 pts
⭐ Bonus points are live — if a rival gets voted invalid after you, your score upgrades from 10 → 20pts automatically.

🔄 Next Round or End Game
The host starts a new round (new categories, new letter, next spinner) or ends the game. Final leaderboard crowns the winner with 🥇🥈🥉 podium positions.
